Trim is what completes the job.

Most metal roofs fail at the trim, not the panels. The metal sheets handle the easy part — shedding water across a flat or sloped surface. Trim handles the hard part: edges, corners, transitions, and peaks where water and wind try to find a way in.

That's why we obsess over our trim. Every piece is bent in-house at our Ravenel shop for accuracy, consistent angles, and clean lines. Color-matched to your panels and fasteners. Cut to your exact lengths.

"If you can draw it, we can bend it."

Drip Edge

Directs water off the eaves, protects fascia, and prevents water intrusion at panel edges. Essential for heavy Lowcountry rainfall.

Drip Edge — Deluxe

Heavier-duty drip edge profile with extra coverage and a more refined finished look. Common on Standing Seam systems.

Rake Trim

Protects exposed gable edges from wind uplift and weather damage — essential for coastal wind zones.

Ridge Cap

Covers and seals the roof peak, providing essential weather protection and airflow. Color-matched to panels.

Valley Trim

Channels water through roof valleys and prevents overflow or pooling at slope intersections.

End Wall Trim

Creates a sealed transition where the roof meets a vertical wall. Critical for water management.

Sidewall Trim

Forms a watertight seal where the roof ties into a side wall. Pairs with end wall trim for full coverage.

Inside Corner Trim

Seals inside wall corners and creates a clean, watertight finish — for siding applications.

Outside Corner Trim

Protects exterior corners from wind, rain, and impact while improving appearance on metal-sided buildings.

J-Channel

Used around windows, doors, and panel edges for clean lines and moisture control. Great for Board & Batten.

Transition Trim

Connects two different roof pitches and prevents leaks at slope changes. Critical for complex roof shapes.

High Side Peak

Seals and protects high roof-to-wall connections exposed to wind and rain. Used at the top of mono-slope roofs.

Rat Guard

Stops rodents, insects, and debris from entering the building through the lower edge. Important on agricultural buildings.

FAQ

Trim questions.

What metal trim do I need for a metal roof?

Most roofs require drip edge, rake trim, ridge cap, sidewall, end wall, and valley trim. Complex roofs may need transitions or specialty trim. We can help you spec the full list for your specific roof.

How does metal trim prevent leaks?

Trim covers exposed edges, seals gaps, and directs water away from vulnerable areas like peaks, eaves, corners, and transitions. Without trim, water finds its way under panels and into the structure.

Can Dycon Industries make custom metal trim?

Yes — if you can draw it, we can bend it to match your exact measurements. Sketches, blueprints, photos, or physical samples — bring whatever you have.

Do you offer fast turnaround on trim?

Absolutely. We stock material and cut trim quickly for contractors and homeowners — most standard pieces are same-day or next-day.

Do you color-match trim to panels?

Yes. We bend trim from the same coil run as your panels whenever possible, so paint tone and gloss match perfectly. Different coils can have subtle differences — always order trim and panels together when you can.

Need trim? Need it fast?

Standard or custom, color-matched, ready when you need it.
